Crucible Salt Baths

Application

Salt baths are intended for heating for hardening of all types of high-speed steel, for heating the steel billets and annealing of specialized and carbon steel. They can be used at operating temperatures up to 950 ° C.

Construction

The housing of the salt bath is a welded structure.
The heating space to the crucible is manufactured in the form of a circle. Electrical heaters are placed evenly along the entire periphery of the heating space.
In the furnace chamber is located a metal crucible made of fireproof steel. Details for heat treatment should be immersed in it. The crucible hangs in the furnace chamber. Sideways of the crucible is located aspiration system.
The heat insulation of the bath is made of chemically neutral and resistant to various gas environments light-weight refractory bricks, vacuum formed refractory elements, mats and special protective coatings.
The heating elements made of new high quality resistance alloys, are arranged evenly over the entire surface of the working space of the furnace.
The temperature in the heating chamber is regulated by a programmable microprocessor PID controller perceiving direct signal from a standard thermocouple.
Electrical switchboards are designed for power and control of the salt bath with operating voltage according to the design and the control of the thermal processes. The electrical switchboards provide appropriate control and protection of the circuits and automation, providing the required security.
The electrical resistance furnaces and respectively the switchboards for powering and management work with three-phase mains voltage (380 V) – to power the load chain and 250 V for control circuits (command and protective circuits related to the safety).
Available salt baths of this type are made in accordance with the technical assignment of the client and in accordance with the requirements of the technology for heat treatment of the products.
