Drying Furnaces for Wood Chips


The drying furnaces of this type have a universal use – they can be used for drying various materials and products at temperatures up to 300 ° C. The construction of the drying furnaces is not explosion and fire – safe.


The metal structure of the drying furnace is made of profiled and sheet steel. It consists of individual working alone modules. Each module includes connected to each other working section, in that is located a conveyor belt and a special heat exchanger (preheater) section. We made appropriate constructive solutions for even heating up of the wood chips and removal of the humid air. The furnace has a system for continuous wet and dry cleaning of the conveyor belt.
The conveyor is located in front of the drying furnace, in the furnace and beyond. It is equipped with a gearbox, polyester tape, clutch, driving rubber drums, mechanical tension slide for the gear, tension station with springs for the belt, chain with chain wheels and protective covers.
The ventilation system consists of centrifugal fans with an appropriate flow, ducts and chimney. Constantly moist air is sucked from the corresponding location of the drying furnace and the chimney disposes it above the roof of the facility.
The inlet hopper – dispenser is located at the entrance of the drying furnace. It is designed to absorb fluctuations in the flow of incoming wood chips and spread it across the entire width of the conveyor belt with height adjustment. The pledged automatics enables automatic control of the operation of the bunker, ensuring the level of chips in the bunker and stops or releases the filing of incoming chips.
Electrical switchboards are designed for power and control of the furnace with operating voltage according to the design and the control of the thermal processes. The electrical switchboards provide appropriate control and protection of the circuits and automation, providing the required security.
The electrical resistance furnaces and respectively the switchboards for powering and management work with three-phase mains voltage (380 V) – to power the load chain and 250 V for control circuits (command and protective circuits related to the safety).
Available drying furnaces of this type are made in accordance with the technical assignment of the client and in accordance with the requirements of the technology for heat treatment of the products.
